| Fair Dinkum is a hip, social, multi-cultural and energetic club for young professionals in Asia. Originally formed to promote and take part in the ancient sport of dragon boating in Hong Kong, Fair Dinkum swiftly established itself as more: a fun and hip lifestyle club that participates in charity events, corporate and organized competitions and various social and cultural functions throughout Hong Kong. |

Through the club’s various social and sporting activities - especially the 2007 and 2008 dragonboat racing victories at local and international competitions - Fair Dinkum has gained the respect from established social and professional dragon boat organizations and the press, in both local news outlets and international media. |

“Fair Dinkum” is a colloquial Australian term that basically means “for real”, which embodies the spirit the club is founded on – real about its members, purpose and supporters. |

Young professionals who work hard at their regular jobs are attracted to the fun, yet competitive attitude of “Fair Play, Fair Go… Fair Dinkum”. In 2008, only its second year, membership increased by 40% through word of mouth and local media coverage. Whilst in 2009, as a result of the daily stress stemming from the Global Financial Crisis, young professionals turned to Fair Dinkum and our membership increase by a further 35%. There is now well over 110 active members participating in dragon boating, dodgeball and other social activities. With the introduction of "Fair Dinkum Cultural Express" a series of monthly educational and fun social activities late last year, it is anticipated that membership will continue to grow towards the end of 2009. Stay tuned on our Facebook group for upcoming events. |
