Participation at the annual Matilda Hospital Sedan Chair Race ("Sedan Chair Race") has been a proud Fair Dinkum tradition, and was the Club's first ever association with its now growing involvement in charity. 

The Sedan Chair Race is one of the highest profile charity events in Hong Kong, supported by many first tier corporates and financial institutions in a 2-3km run along the Peak carrying a seated sedan chair.  Our members have taken part in this race since 2005, and as a result of growing interest by Club members, in 2009 Fair Dinkum entered a men's and women's team: Fair Dinkum Fiery Dragons and Fair Dinkum Fairy Goddesses. As a result of the generosity of the Club's sponsors, members, family and friends, donations raised during the Club's annual finale party to support the Sedan Chair Charities Fund has increased year on year.
